"What constitutes an
American? Not color nor race nor religion. Not the pedigree of
his family nor the place of his birth. Not the coincidence of
his citizenship. An American is one who loves justice and
believes in the dignity of man. An American is one who will
fight for his freedom and that of his neighbor. An American is
one who will sacrifice property, ease, and security in order
that he and his children may retain the rights of all free
men."
From Memorial Day and Veterans Day services around
the state, to supporting local youth scholarships, to overseas troop
support, we make a difference.
We are active on behalf of veterans and their
communities. We organize blood drives. We lobby our elected
officials on behalf of the nation's veterans. We participate in many
different community service organizations such as Make A
Difference Day, National Volunteer Week, Toys for Tots and March
of Dimes.
We provide services and support to veterans, their
spouses and their communities. We act as a VA liaison to help tackle
problems ranging from guaranteeing VA disability compensation to
acquiring well-deserved military awards. We perform graveside funeral service
rites to honor the memory of a deceased comrade. We will always be
here to ensure the honor and recognition due our veterans, in life
and in death.
